Patrick Fanning - Member
I qualified in 1976 and joined the firm in 1978, becoming a partner in 1982.  i principally act for dealers and developers on both commercial and residential matters.

Claire Smith - Member
I qualified as a Solicitor in 1979 and became a staff member here in 1983 before becoming a partner in1985.  My specialty is residential conveyancing for both individual and business clients.  I live in the area and as such have a knowledge of the local property market.

Dorothy Jacques - Practice Manager
I started working for Lucas & Co in the Accounts department in 1989 I was promoted in 1994 to Practice Manager and am responsible for all aspects of the smooth running of Lucas & Co. My duties include dealing and making sure suppliers, staff and clients are happy with the service provided. Accounts being my first responsibility with the help of my assistant Hannah. My latest project has been to oversee the conversion of Lucas & Co to Lucas Solicitors LLP.

Deepak Shergill - Solicitor
I qualified as a solicitor in 1999. I joined Lucas Solicitors LLP in 2001 to take over the commercial conveyancing department. I am happy to act for both small and large commercial clients and can count many local businesses among my client base. I can also advise you in residential landlord and tenant matters.

Karen Hurtado - Conveyancer
I have been with the firm for 25 years having started off as a Legal Secretary in September 1980. I trained within the firm and have been a Fee Earner specialising in residential conveyancing for the best part of eighteen years. I have an extensive knowledge of the local area and property markets and a solid base of longstanding repeat clients.

Gill Kosbab - Legal Executive I am a legal executive and work as a Fee Earner, specialising in residential conveyancing. I originally started working for Lucas Solicitors LLP in 1997 but left in 2000 to have my first child. I returned to the firm in April 2004 on a part-time basis and now work in Claire Smith's team.

Helen Pocock - Quotations Administrator
I have been with Lucas & Co since April 2000. My role is to give residential conveyancing quotes to clients and look after new clients/transactions. Upon confirmation of instructions I prepare the client's file and collate all the information required at the start of a conveyancing transaction. My duties include processing the client's information and forms onto our database and carrying out ID checks on clients in accordance with the Money Regulation Act, forwarding clients their 'On-Line Tracking' usernames/passwords and postcode checks, applying for office copy entries, title deeds, redemption figures and draft contracts. I look after the client's file up to the point where either contracts have been received or are ready for drafting and then I pass the file to the appropriate Team Leader. Clients/Estate Agents/Solicitors are able to contact me with general enquiries where I will assist them to the best of my knowledge.
